Our Story

Seven Generations
of Texas Cattle

The Alford family has called Burleson County home since 1832. Nearly two centuries of working the land, raising cattle, and passing down the values that define this operation.

1832

The Beginning

The Alford family settles in Burleson County, Texas. A small homestead on open range — the start of nearly two centuries of ranching.

1800s

Building the Herd

Across the second half of the century, the Alford operation grows from subsistence farming into a cattle operation. Each generation adds to the land and the herd.

1900s

Generations of Stewardship

Through droughts, market crashes, and world wars, the Alford family holds onto the land and the cattle. The operation evolves with the times but never loses its roots.

Modern Era

A Multi-Breed Program

The current generation expands into a multi-breed operation: Registered Brangus, Registered Brahman, F1 Brangus, F1 Braford, Angus-Wagyu crosses, and full Wagyu. Genetics that perform in the Texas heat.

~2020

Direct to Consumer Beef

Six years ago, the family launches a direct-to-consumer beef business — AlfordCattleCoBeef.com — bringing premium Angus and Wagyu beef straight from the ranch to families across Texas.

2026

Alford Cattle Launches

AlfordCattleCo.com goes live, giving ranchers and breeders direct access to the Alford breeding program — live cattle sales, genetics, and a 7th-generation legacy.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Heritage

Nearly 200 years on the same land. We don't just raise cattle — we carry forward a legacy that stretches back to the founding of Texas.

Genetics

Every breeding decision is intentional. We select for performance, conformation, and temperament — traits that matter in the pasture, not just on paper.

Integrity

When you buy from Alford, you know exactly what you're getting. We stand behind every animal we sell, and our reputation is built on honest dealing.
